Team victory at Valley of Sun Stage RaceHungry Paul

With solid team tactic the team was able to secure the "W" in the 15th Annual Valley of the Sun Stage Race in Phoenix, Arizona. Paul Thomas recorded a 5th place in Friday's Time Trial and along with teammate Jared Gilyard got in the break that stayed away on Saturday's Road Race stage. Mike Mathis' close 2nd in the 23 KM TT on Friday made him the danger man and the team took full advantage, shooting PT into the leaders jersey. The deal was not sealed until Sunday's Criterium which saw all 5 RideClean p/b PatentIt.com riders controlling the race as teams that had missed out were trying last gasp efforts to move up in the General Classification. Sacrifice and work by David Glick and by "Rocket" Ron Jensen exemplified the team spirit. The sponsors and fans and management could not be prouder of the way the team comported themselves and happy for their collective result -- a good way to get a Stage Race victory under the team's belt early in the year.
